Amazon FBA Labeling and Packaging Requirements: How to Avoid Rejected Shipments
When shipping products to Amazon FBA warehouses, proper labeling and packaging is crucial. Failing to follow Amazon’s strict requirements can result in delays, additional fees, or even rejected inventory.
At Forestleopard, we help sellers ensure every shipment meets FBA standards. Here are the most common mistakes and how to avoid them:
Label size should be ≤ 75mm × 75mm (check category-specific rules)
Information like SKU and ASIN must be clear, complete, and scannable
Labels must be placed centered on the largest side of the box
Use white background for labels only
Heavy items must include “Team Lift” / “Mech Lift” labels (color printed, ≥8cm per side)
Use new, clean corrugated boxes — no reused or branded packaging
Cushion products properly with bubble wrap, EPE foam, etc.
Avoid easily scattered materials like shredded paper or foam beads
Damaged or oversized boxes will be rejected
Special items (e.g. liquids, fragile goods, electronics) must follow category-specific safety packaging
Avoid staples, nylon tape, or tape overlapping box seams more than 5cm (new rule for 2025)
Improper packaging or labeling can lead to:
Rejected inventory
Fines and delays
Poor seller performance metrics
