Amazon Japan expands next-day delivery service

Amazon Japan has announced that it will use airfreight services in Hokkaido and expand its next-day delivery service within the prefecture. Amazon plans to use the cargo hold of passenger aircraft on the Haneda to New Chitose route to ship hundreds of thousands of items per month. The move will ensure that customers in Hokkaido (excluding remote islands) will be able to receive their items the next day if they place an order before noon the day before. In addition, same-day delivery of approximately 200,000 items will be available in some parts of Hokkaido, including Sapporo, Asahikawa, Hakodate and Obihiro.
