Amazon Opens Largest Fulfillment Center in British Columbia – YXX1 in Pitt Meadows
On June 6, 2025, Amazon officially opened its newest fulfillment center, YXX1, in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. This launch marks a significant milestone in Amazon’s ongoing investment in its Canadian logistics infrastructure.
The YXX1 facility spans 825,000 square feet, making it the largest warehouse in the region. Strategically located within the Golden Ears Business Park, it sits near the Fraser River and Pitt Meadows Regional Airport, offering excellent transportation access for efficient goods movement.
As the first major storage and distribution hub in British Columbia, YXX1 plays a critical role in Amazon’s supply chain. It will serve as a central point for inventory storage, order management, and regional distribution, enabling faster deliveries to customers throughout Western Canada.
Beyond improved delivery speed and supply chain efficiency, the new center is expected to create local job opportunities and drive economic growth in the Pitt Meadows area.
With YXX1, Amazon continues to strengthen its presence in Canada, offering better service to customers and supporting scalable e-commerce operations.
